Happy Tibetan Losar!

Wishing everyone a very Happy Tibetan New Year! As we celebrate Losar week, I extend my sincere greetings and best wishes to you all. May this year bring peace to the world, and may all our actions be guided by love and compassion.

Losar has never been the same since I escaped from Tibet. It has been more than 23 years since I last celebrated our New Year with my family. Yet, I still hold onto the hope of a reunion—to once again smell the incense of home and feel the true spirit of celebration. Stand with Tibet. May the day soon come that leads us back to our rightful homeland.

Compassion

“Compassion is concern for others – sincere concern for others’ wellbeing founded on awareness of our own experience. Since it makes us happy when others show us affection and offer us help, if we show others affection and readiness to help they too will feel joy.”
