Happy Tibetan Losar!

Wishing everyone a very Happy Tibetan New Year! As we celebrate Losar week, I extend my sincere greetings and best wishes to you all. May this year bring peace to the world, and may all our actions be guided by love and compassion.
Losar has never been the same since I escaped from Tibet. It has been more than 23 years since I last celebrated our New Year with my family. Yet, I still hold onto the hope of a reunion—to once again smell the incense of home and feel the true spirit of celebration. Stand with Tibet. May the day soon come that leads us back to our rightful homeland.

High status breeds pride and jealousy,
while a humble station brings peace and virtue.
Truly, the low ground is the seat of the supreme ones.
It is better to be poor than to be rich.
The rich suffer from the burden of acquiring and protecting their wealth,
while the poor find virtue through their struggles.
